Rosch, Kathleen Bentley ALBANY Kathy Bentley Rosch passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany on August 29, 2021, at the age of 64. Born in Albany, Kathy was the daughter of the late Edward Joseph Bentley and the late Mary Jane Bentley. Kathy graduated from Mercy High School in 1975 and from the Albany Memorial School of Nursing in 1978. She began her nursing career at St. Peter’s Hospital in the Cardiac Care Unit, then spent 20 years as a registered nurse at the Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart in Albany. where she was adored by the Sisters. Kathy has dedicated her whole life to helping others. She also enjoyed spending the warmer months in her camp on Lake Lucerne with her family. Kathy is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 41 years, Bill Rosch; as well as her children, Sean and Colleen (Tom) O’Keeffe. Kathy is survived by two granddaughters, Rylee and Hailey, who were the lights of her life. She is survived by her siblings, Anne Marie Bentley, Edward (Anne) Bentley, Patricia (Robert) Lynch, Daniel Bentley and Jerome (Susan) Bentley; brothers-in-law, Michael Sheldon and Frank DeSanta; as well as his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Kathy was predeceased by her sisters, MaryEllen Sheldon and Meg DeSanta. Parents and friends are invited to visit Kathy’s family on Thursday, September 2, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany. Please enter the funeral home only through the rear parking door; unvaccinated people should wear a mask and practice social distancing. The funeral will be on Friday September 3 at 10 a.m. at Saint-Pie X Church in Loudonville, where his funeral mass will be celebrated. Please enter the church only through the front door; church ambassadors will be available to help with seating and questions; if you are vaccinated, please sit in the main section of the church (masks optional and no social distancing); if unvaccinated or uncomfortable without social distancing, both sides of the church are available where social distancing and masks will be required; and please try to arrive 15 minutes before.
